The architectural firm of fänas architecture p.c. was founded by Dale Smith to focus on his passion of residential design, and environmentally friendly methodologies. The firm’s designs unite individualized client goals with distinctive architecture to create extraordinary habitats. Fänas architecture p.c. provides architectural services from conceptual design to construction documents and through construction. With over twenty-five years of professional experience, Dale designs energy-efficient "green" architecture that is in harmony with its surroundings. Dale holds a Bachelor of Architecture, Environmental Design, Associates in Architectural Technology. Dale holds a City of Boulder Green Points certification, Green Advantage certified, and a founding member of the Boulder Green Building Guild, and is currently pursuing the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accreditation. He is a former principal with the award winning firm of Fritzlen Pierce Smith Architects, located in Vail, CO. In addition to more than 15 years of residential experience, Dale has an extensive background in commercial and multi-use projects. Elizabeth Smith joined the firm in 2006. Prior to joining fänas, Elizabeth was head of the residential architecture division at Resort Design Associates in Boulder, Colorado. With over fifteen years experience with design and management of high-end custom residential, resort industry, hospitality, and multi-use projects, she brings a strength of diversity and creativity to the firm. Both Dale & Elizabeth hold a Bachelor of Architecture, Environmental Design from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Dale holds a City of Boulder Green Points certification, Green Advantage certified, and a founding member of the Boulder Green Building Guild, and is currently pursuing the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accreditation. They both involve themselves in community activities and non-profit organizations, reflecting their drive to create better human environments.
