Situated at the top of Lily Mountain west of Estes Park, the Windcliff home has views like few others; a 180 degree view of the Continental Divide, with Longs Peak anchoring the southern end. The small steep lot requiring an alternative approach, with the home rests atop several concrete 'piers' (or large pilotis, as Le Corbusie would've said), and accessed via bridge structures spanning to the road.  To accommodate the spectacular views, at almost 9,000 feet, and in an area aptly titled Windcliff, the glazing too was a challenge, consisting primarily of triple-glazed argon-filled units. The iconic materials of glass, concrete & cedar are well balanced in a simple, timeless contemporary design.
